The Contract Manager is responsible for the following:
- Develop process to ensure compliance with contract requirements;
- Develop and implement change management procedures;
- Oversee the identification of claims mitigation strategies;
- Manage claims process;
- Oversee the negotiation of change orders variations and change issues;
- Ensure timely and accurate contractual correspondence;
- Oversee pricing of change and delay issues;
- Manage preparation of narratives and entitlement documentation;
- Oversee identification and tracking of contract and deliverables;
- Identify and implement record keeping procedures to validate potential changes;
- Manage training of staff on the implementation of contract processes and procedures;
- Maintain the change management issue logs and provision of summary reports.
Requirements
- Postsecondary degree or diploma in a relevant discipline;
- Strong knowledge of construction law;
- Minimum 10 years of experience in Construction industry;
- Experience dealing with major change/claims management or dispute resolution issues in a major project;
- Excellent command of computer software including Microsoft Office Suite MS Project BlueBeam etc.
- Strong business acumen;
- Bilingualism French and English would be considered an asset.
