Position Summary
The Contracts Engineer will play a pivotal role in ensuring the successful execution of construction and event services projects. This position will require a strong understanding of contract law negotiation skills and project management expertise. The Contracts Engineer will be responsible for drafting reviewing and managing contracts to protect the companys interests and ensure compliance with contractual obligations.
Key Responsibilities
Contract Drafting and Review: Prepare review and negotiate a variety of contracts including purchase orders subcontracts and agreements with suppliers and vendors.
Contract Management: Oversee the entire contract lifecycle from initiation to completion ensuring compliance with contractual terms and conditions.
Risk Management: Identify and mitigate potential risks associated with contracts including legal financial and operational risks.
Dispute Resolution: Manage disputes and claims arising from contracts working closely with legal counsel to protect the companys interests.
Contract Compliance: Ensure that all parties involved in a contract adhere to their obligations and that contractual requirements are met.
Budget Control: Monitor contract budgets and ensure that costs are within the agreedupon limits.
Collaboration: Work closely with project managers procurement
Requirements
Bachelors degree in Civil Engineering or a related field.
Minimum 6 years of experience in contract management within the construction or event services industry.
Strong understanding of contract law and principles.
Excellent negotiation and communication skills.
Proven ability to manage complex projects and meet deadlines.
Strong analytical and problemsolving skills.
Proficiency in using contract management software.
