Job Description

Join our dynamic team and play a pivotal role in optimizing our procurement processes. We are seeking a seasoned Senior Procurement Officer with a strong background in procurement management tender participation and vendor relations. This role plays a critical part in ensuring the success of our procurement activities specifically focusing on fulfilling tender requirements and leading the entire tender process. If you have a deep understanding of procurement tendering and vendor management this is the opportunity for you.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Procurement Management: Lead and oversee procurement processes ensuring full compliance with company policies procedures and regulatory requirements. Monitor procurement activities to ensure they are efficient effective and aligned with business goals.
  • Tender Participation & Vendor Selection: Fulfill all requirements for tender participation including obtaining competitive quotations selecting qualified vendors and advising on the most suitable tenderers. Oversee vendor prequalification and evaluation ensuring adherence to our procurement manual.
  • Negotiation Leadership: Lead negotiations with vendors and contractors securing favorable terms while maintaining cost efficiency and quality standards. Ensure that all contractual terms are optimized to support the companys strategic objectives.
  • Procurement Oversight: Oversee the procurement process from start to finish ensuring all activities comply with company policies procedures and regulatory requirements. Optimize procurement processes to increase efficiency and reduce costs.
  • Vendor Management & Relations: Develop and manage strong relationships with key vendors and suppliers. Continuously assess vendor performance to ensure that they meet the organizations requirements for quality delivery and pricing.
  • Cost Savings & Process Improvement: Identify opportunities for cost savings in procurement activities without compromising on quality. Continuously improve procurement processes to enhance operational efficiency and shorten turnaround times.
  • Compliance & Risk Management: Ensure that all procurement activities especially in tendering comply with legal and organizational policies. Provide expert advice to minimize procurement risks and ensure full compliance with regulations.
  • Reporting & Analytics: Prepare detailed reports on tender outcomes procurement activities vendor performance and cost savings. Use data to support strategic decisionmaking and enhance procurement strategies.
  • Collaboration & Stakeholder Engagement: Collaborate closely with other departments to ensure procurement efforts align with organizational goals. Maintain effective communication with internal and external stakeholders throughout the tendering process.

Qualifications:

  • Bachelors degree in Business Administration Supply Chain Management or a related field.
  • Minimum of 7 years of proven experience in procurement with a strong focus on tendering and vendor management preferably in the GCC region.
  • Demonstrated expertise in tender preparation vendor evaluation and contract negotiation.
  • Strong knowledge of procurement processes tender management and market trends.
  • Excellent negotiation and communication skills with the ability to secure favorable terms.
  • Proficiency in procurement software Microsoft Office Suite MS Visio and MS Access
