The below job opportunity is to one of Our clients who is a global leader in personal care and home fragrance including topselling collections for fine fragrance mist body lotion and body cream 3wick candles home fragrance diffusers and liquid hand soap.
Job Title: Raw Materials Specialist
Location: Manhattan New York 10038
Duration: 3 Months
Job Type: Contract
Work Type: Hybrid in office 3 days/week
Job Description
- Individual contributor position responsible for the quality of colors and fabrics including garments and components to assure final product quality.
- Assist in the technical development preproduction and cataloguing of all fabrics and colors through to production.
- Visit company stores on regular basis to monitor the quality and consistency of fabrics and color under store lighting conditions.
- Typically reports to manager of Textile Technology.
- Typically directs Assistant Textile Technologist.
- College degree in technical education or equivalent experience.
- 35 years experience in fabric and color development.
- Experience in development of apparel raw materials (knits wovens sweaters) solid written and verbal communication plm experience organization: both physical rm libraries and digital record keeping
- The candidate will be on the raw materials team. This team is responsible for development of fabric and trim for all brands.
- Experience in apparel raw materials at a like/similar brand
- Daily meetings approx 46/day daily email communication and followup coordination with design teams daily organizational/record keeping work plm and physical organization.
