Job Summary: The istant Nurse Manager OR is responsible for the daytoday operations of the Operating Room (OR) ensuring highquality patient care managing staff and adhering to compliance standards. The role involves overseeing a team of 2060 employees managing staffing payroll and budgeting and ensuring clinical excellence. The istant Nurse Manager reports to the Department Manager RN and plays a key role in staff development and unit efficiency.
Essential Responsibilities: - Manage daily clinical operations including staffing payroll budgeting and quality improvement.
- Ensure compliance with federal state and local regulations as well as hospital policies.
- Develop and implement staff development plans and improvement initiatives.
- Supervise unit operations including human resource management safety programs and risk management.
- Monitor patient care to ensure coordinated treatment plans and costeffective services.
- Collaborate with healthcare providers across departments to ensure optimal patient care.
- Research and implement best practices for improved operational efficiency and patient care.
- Address and resolve patient and family concerns regarding care quality.
Secondary Functions: - Oversight of OR/CVOR operations.
Qualifications: Basic Qualifications:
- Experience:
- Minimum of 2 years of nursing experience.
- Minimum of 2 years in a leadership role (e.g. charge nurse preceptor or quality improvement).
- Education:
- Graduate of an accredited nursing school.
- High school diploma or GED required.
- Licenses/Certifications:
- Current California Registered Nurse (RN) License (not temporary).
- Basic Life Support (BLS) certification at hire.
- Additional Requirements:
- Demonstrated knowledge of quality improvement clinical care processes staffing and budgeting.
- Familiarity with Nursing Practice Act The Joint Commission and relevant regulatory requirements.
- Strong communication and interpersonal ss.
- Must be able to work in a Labor/Management Partnership environment.
Preferred Qualifications:
- Advanced education (MSN MHA MBA) or CNOR designation.
- Experience scheduling teams and working in a unionized environment.
- Strong preference for candidates with inpatient OR RN experience.
- ACLS certification strongly preferred.
- Calm under pressure strong leadership and mentoring ss especially in training newer nurses.

Compensation and Benefits: - SignOn Bonus: 10% of base salary.
