Schedule: Friday Saturday Sunday Monday (6:30 AM 5:00 PM)

Salary: $186900 $267200 / yr

Job Summary:

The istant Nurse Manager OR is responsible for overseeing the daytoday operations of the Operating Room (OR) unit ensuring highquality patient care managing staff and adhering to regulatory requirements. This role involves supervising a team of 2060 employees managing staffing and scheduling and ensuring compliance with best practices and standards. The istant Nurse Manager will report to the Department Manager RN and contribute to staff development quality improvement and patient care coordination.

Essential Responsibilities:
  • Manage daily clinical operations including staffing payroll budgeting and quality improvement.
  • Ensure compliance with federal state and local regulations and hospital policies.
  • Develop and implement action plans for staff development and unit improvement.
  • Supervise unit operations including human resource management safety and risk management programs.
  • Monitor patient care ensuring coordinated treatment plans costeffective services and optimal care quality.
  • Collaborate with healthcare providers across departments to ensure continuity of care.
  • Resolve patient and family concerns regarding care quality.
  • Research and implement best practice models to improve unit performance.
Qualifications:

Basic Qualifications:

  • Experience:
    • Minimum of 2 years of nursing experience.
    • Minimum of 2 years in a leadership role (e.g. charge nurse preceptor or quality improvement).
  • Education:
    • Graduate of an accredited nursing school.
    • High school diploma or GED required.
  • Licenses/Certifications:
    • Current California Registered Nurse (RN) License (not temporary).
    • Basic Life Support (BLS) certification at hire.
  • Additional Requirements:
    • Demonstrated knowledge of quality improvement clinical care processes staffing and budgeting.
    • Familiarity with Nursing Practice Act The Joint Commission and relevant regulatory requirements.
    • Strong communication and interpersonal ss.
    • Ability to work in a Labor/Management Partnership environment.

Preferred Qualifications:

  • Advanced education (MSN MHA MBA) or CNOR designation.
  • Experience scheduling teams and working in unionized environments.
  • Strong preference for candidates with OR experience.
  • ACLS certification preferred.
  • Calm under pressure and strong leadership abilities especially in training newer nurses.

Compensation and Benefits:
  • SignOn Bonus: 10% of base salary.
