Job Title: Operations ociate Dispatch & Logistics
Reports to: Operations Manager
Job Summary:
The Operations ociate is responsible for coordinating and managing the dispatch and logistics operations of the company. This role ensures the smooth flow of products from manufacturing to delivery ensuring timely dispatch accurate logistics tracking and compliance with safety and quality standards in a plastic manufacturing environment.
Key Responsibilities:
- Dispatch Management:
- Coordinate daily dispatch activities to ensure timely and accurate deliveries.
- Manage production planning dispatch schedules and communicate delivery timelines to the relevant departments.
- Ensure proper packaging labeling and doentation for all outgoing shipments.
- Logistics Coordination:
- Plan manage and track the movement of goods from the factory to the destination.
- Liaise with transport vendors and negotiate contracts for the most efficient and costeffective logistics solutions.
- Maintain logisticsrelated doentation including delivery notes invoices and tracking information.
- Inventory Control:
- Monitor stock levels and coordinate with the warehouse team to ensure sufficient product availability for dispatch.
- Perform periodic audits of inventory to ensure accurate stock records and control material flow.
- Compliance & Safety:
- Ensure that all dispatch and logistics activities comply with safety regulations and environmental standards.
- Implement measures to reduce transportation risks and ensure the safety of goods during transit.
- Ensure compliance with legal requirements for transportation and storage especially for plastic materials.
- Collaboration & Communication:
- Work closely with the production warehouse and sales teams to meet customer delivery expectations.
- Communicate any potential delays or logistical challenges with relevant stakeholders to manage expectations.
- Address customer complaints or delivery issues in a timely and professional manner.
- Process Improvement:
- Identify areas of improvement in dispatch and logistics processes to enhance efficiency and reduce costs.
- ist in developing and implementing strategies to streamline transportation and reduce lead times.
Preferred Ss:
- Experience in the plastic manufacturing industry.
- Familiarity with transportation regulations for industrial materials.
- Proficiency in Zoho books and logistics tracking tools.
Requirements
Qualifications:
- Bachelors degree in Business Administration Logistics Supply Chain Management or a related field.
- 24 years of experience in logistics dispatch or operations preferably in a manufacturing environment.
- Knowledge of logistics software and dispatch systems.
- Strong organizational and time management ss.
- Excellent communication and problemsolving abilities.
- Ability to work in a fastpaced environment and handle multiple priorities.
