Audit Senior
Our firm s audit department is currently seeking a selfmotivated detailoriented individual to join our growing team. One of the industries our audit department specializes in is construction and we are seeking an auditor with experience in this specific area. Experience in managing audit projects and audit staff is also highly valued for this position. Seeking someone who wants to participate in our firms positive culture and is passionate about helping our audit practice grow.
Construction Industry Experience:
Experience auditing construction companies
Familiarity with construction accounting principles such as job costing percentageofcompletion method and construction contracts
Experience in identifying and evaluating risks particularly those related to construction projects and financial reporting
Knowledge of internal controls and compliance issues relevant to the construction industry
General Responsibilities:
Performs annual audit review and compilation procedures of company s account balances and processes
Demonstrates a current and thorough knowledge and application of generally accepted accounting principles generally accepted auditing standards and other financial reporting frameworks
Analyzes audit procedures on general and more complex areas and prepares initial research and conclusions if necessary
Reviews associate level workpapers and demonstrates ability to give constructive review comments and determine testing and conclusions are appropriate
Prepare client letters perform internal control walkthroughs fraud and annual inquires and other requests for information with client
Prepares engagement budget and assigns staff tasks appropriately
Supervises staff on multiple engagements and manages workloads effectively
Supervises and trains associates and interns
Identifies and assesses the risk of material misstatement of the financial statements and assist with the development of the audit strategy
Analyzes financial statements and disclosures to identify any errors or omissions
General Qualifications:
Bachelor s degree from an accredited institution preferably in Accounting
Previous experience in accounting preferably related to attest services
CPA or plan to attain CPA preferred
Proficient in Microsoft Office software
Fundamental knowledge of GAAP
Attention to detail
Desire to work in a fast paced deadline oriented environment
Strong written and verbal communication skills
Positive attitude that will fit in well with our firm s culture
