What you will be doing:

  • Accountable for all aspects of daytoday property operations ensuring that all physical aspects are functional and maintained.
  • Frequently engage with residents proactively responding to their needs and fostering relationship development to drive resident retention.
  • Develop annual operating and capital budgets implement cost control measures and aim for the highest possible net operating income.
  • Lead leasing and marketing initiatives ensuring that all units and spaces are marketready. Monitor and enforce resident lease obligations.
  • Provide direction and oversight to both office and maintenance staff ensuring adherence to personnel policies and procedures.
  • Ensure strict adherence to State and Federal Fair Housing Laws. Implement and enforce all safety standards for the site and occupants.
  • Negotiate and manage vendor service contracts as well as oversee onetime projects.
  • Prepare and submit required reports including financials and manage rental collections and invoice processing.
  • Perform regular inspections of the property to ensure upkeep and address any maintenance needs.

Experience you will need:

  • Must have strong financial management skills with proficiency in budgeting forecasting and cost control.
  • Must have experience and a solid understanding of Tax Credit Affordable Housing properties.
  • Bilingual in English and Spanish is strongly preferred.
  • Proficiency with Microsoft Office (Excel Word Outlook) is required. Experience with property management systems such as OneSite Yardi or eSite is a plus.
  • Ability to work effectively and lead staff in a fastpaced evolving environment. Strong multitasking skills and the ability to meet deadlines are essential.
  • Willingness to work weekends and holidays when required with occasional travel for business meetings and training.
  • High school diploma or equivalent required; some college coursework is strongly preferred but not mandatory.
