Virtual Rockstar is seeking a fulltime Virtual Medical Biller to join our client s Physical Therapy practice in Pennsylvania. Our client s dedicated team is committed to exceeding every patient s expectations through personalized oneonone care. As a Virtual Medical Biller you will play a vital role in ensuring the efficient operation of our client s practice by handling a range of administrative and billing tasks. You will be responsible for managing patient inquiries maintaining accurate records verifying insurance coverage processing claims and resolving billing discrepancies to ensure timely and accurate reimbursement.
Responsibilities:
Handle patient inquiries via phone and email with professionalism and empathy.
Maintain patient records and ensure confidentiality and privacy.
Greet patients and provide directions within the facility ensuring a welcoming environment.
Assist with appointment rescheduling and send personalized communications to patients.
Verify patient insurance coverage and update patient files with insurance information.
Obtain preauthorizations for procedures and explain insurance benefits to patients.
Liaise with insurance providers to clarify coverage details and track the status of pending claims.
Process and submit claims to insurance companies and follow up on unpaid claims.
Post payments to patient accounts and resolve billing discrepancies promptly.
Review and appeal denied claims to maximize reimbursement.
Ensure compliance with coding and billing regulations to prevent errors and fraud.
Generate billing reports for management to track performance and revenue.
Previous experience in medical billing or healthcare administration is required.
Proficiency in medical billing software and knowledge of billing and coding practices.
Experience using Stride EMR and Tebra billing software is a plus.
Excellent communication skills both written and verbal with a customer serviceoriented approach.
Strong attention to detail and organizational abilities to manage multiple tasks efficiently.
Ability to work independently in a remote environment and collaborate effectively with team members.
Knowledge of insurance verification and authorization processes is preferred.
