Job Description

Overview:

The Director of Nursing plays a pivotal role in overseeing the nursing department ensuring the delivery of highquality patient care and maintaining compliance with healthcare regulations. This leadership position is crucial for effectively managing nursing staff implementing strategic plans and maintaining efficient operations within the healthcare facility.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Develop and implement nursing policies and procedures.
  • Oversee the recruitment training and performance evaluation of nursing staff.
  • Ensure compliance with healthcare regulations and accreditation standards.
  • Collaborate with other departments to optimize patient care delivery.
  • Manage the departmental budget and resources effectively.
  • Implement quality improvement initiatives to enhance patient outcomes.
  • Lead strategic planning for nursing services and initiatives.
  • Resolve staffing and operational issues to maintain seamless nursing services.
  • Participate in interdisciplinary meetings and contribute to organizational decisionmaking.
  • Provide leadership and mentorship to nursing staff for professional development.

Required Qualifications:

  • Bachelors of Science in Nursing (BSN).
  • Active registered nurse (RN) license.
  • Current unencumbered license to practice by the State Board of Nursing.
  • Minimum of 7 years of progressive nursing leadership experience.
  • Behavioral Health/Psychiatric Health experience
  • Demonstrated expertise in staff management and development.
  • Indepth knowledge of healthcare regulations and compliance standards.
  • Proven track record in strategic planning and .
  • Strong financial acumen for budget management.
  • Excellent communication and interpersonal skills.
  • Ability to effectively collaborate with diverse healthcare professionals.
