Job Description
Overview:
The SAP RAR Consultant plays a crucial role in implementing and supporting the SAP Revenue Accounting and Reporting (RAR) solution within the organization. They are responsible for ensuring the seamless integration of the SAP RAR module with existing systems and processes as well as providing expert guidance on revenue accounting best practices.
Key Responsibilities:
- Collaborate with stakeholders to understand business requirements and design SAP RAR solutions
- Configure and customize the SAP RAR module to align with business needs
- Support the full lifecycle of SAP RAR implementations including testing training and postgolive activities
- Provide expertise in revenue accounting and reporting standards and regulations
- Conduct workshops and training sessions for end users and project teams
- Identify opportunities for process improvements and optimization within SAP RAR
- Collaborate with crossfunctional teams to ensure seamless integration with other SAP modules
- Offer strategic guidance to clients on SAP RAR best practices and solution capabilities
- Participate in the resolution of complex technical issues and system enhancements
- Document functional specifications test scripts and training materials
- Stay updated on the latest SAP RAR releases and updates
- Contribute to the development of RARrelated policies and procedures
- Provide support during audits and compliance reviews
- Assist in presales activities by showcasing SAP RAR capabilities and benefits
- Collaborate with project managers to ensure timely and successful project delivery
Required Qualifications:
- Bachelors degree in Information Technology Computer Science Business Administration or related field
- Proven experience in implementing SAP RAR solutions in complex business environments
- Proficiency in configuring SAP RAR functionalities and customizing standard processes
- Strong understanding of revenue accounting standards such as IFRS 15 and ASC 606
- Experience in conducting workshops training and knowledge transfer sessions
- Excellent communication and interpersonal skills for client interactions and team collaboration
- Ability to analyze complex business processes and recommend SAP RAR solutions
- Expertise in SAP integration with other modules and external systems
- Certification in SAP RAR or other relevant SAP modules is highly desirable
- Working knowledge of SAP S/4HANA and the integration of RAR with S/4HANA
- Ability to travel as needed for project engagements and client meetings
- Problemsolving skills and a proactive attitude towards issue resolution
- Understanding of best practices in system testing documentation and quality assurance
- Experience in consulting or advisory roles related to revenue accounting and reporting
- Strong project management skills and the ability to meet project timelines and deliverables
