Job Description
Overview
As an SAP MDG Consultant you will play a critical role in implementing and customizing the SAP Master Data Governance (MDG) solution to meet the organizations data management needs. You will work closely with stakeholders to understand business requirements design data models and configure the SAP MDG system to ensure accurate and consistent master data across the enterprise. Your expertise in SAP ERP and data governance will be essential in driving the successful adoption and utilization of the SAP MDG solution.
Key responsibilities
- Collaborate with business stakeholders to gather and analyze master data requirements.
- Design and implement data models and data governance processes within SAP MDG.
- Customize SAP MDG to support data quality and data governance rules.
- Configure business rules workflows and data validations in SAP MDG.
- Integrate SAP MDG with other SAP modules and external systems.
- Provide expertise in SAP ERP data structures and integration points with SAP MDG.
- Participate in system testing data migration and enduser training for SAP MDG.
- Support the ongoing maintenance and optimization of SAP MDG solutions.
- Identify and resolve issues related to master data quality and consistency.
- Collaborate with crossfunctional teams to align master data strategies with business objectives.
- Create and maintain documentation for SAP MDG configurations and customizations.
- Stay updated on SAP MDG best practices and new features to drive continuous improvement.
- Contribute to global data governance initiatives and standards.
- Provide mentorship and guidance to junior consultants on SAP MDG best practices.
- Communicate effectively with key stakeholders and project teams to ensure successful project delivery.
Required qualifications
- Bachelors degree in Computer Science Information Systems or related field.
- Proven experience in implementing and customizing SAP MDG solutions.
- Indepth knowledge of data modeling concepts and data governance principles.
- Strong understanding of SAP ERP modules and their integration with SAP MDG.
- Proficiency in ABAP programming for customizing SAP MDG solutions.
- Experience with data migration strategies and tools within SAP environments.
- Ability to analyze complex business processes and develop solutions within SAP MDG.
- Excellent communication and interpersonal skills for engaging with business stakeholders and project teams.
- Certifications in SAP MDG or related SAP modules is a plus.
- Demonstrated ability to work effectively in a collaborative teamoriented environment.
- Problemsolving skills and attention to detail for resolving data management issues.
- Understanding of master data best practices and industry standards.
- Ability to manage multiple priorities and deliver highquality results within project timelines.
- Adaptability to changes and willingness to learn new technologies and methodologies.
- Strong analytical and decisionmaking skills for driving successful SAP MDG implementations.
