Job Description

Our client a leading logistic company is looking for Korean Bilingual Ocean Freight Operations Specialist in Carson CA.

About the Role

We are looking for an experienced Ocean Freight Operations Specialist to manage and streamline our ocean import processes. The ideal candidate will have strong communication skills attention to detail and a proactive attitude toward logistics operations. If you have experience in freight operations customs clearance and can work effectively in a team we encourage you to apply.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Overseas Communication: Coordinate with overseas agents to initiate and manage ocean import processes.
  • Customs Clearance: Facilitate the clearance of imported goods through customs brokerage.
  • Goods Consolidation/Deconsolidation: Manage the consolidation or deconsolidation of goods as needed.
  • Vendor/Agent Selection & Transportation: Research select and arrange ground transportation with reliable vendors/agents to ensure timely deliveries.
  • Shipment Tracking & Communication: Monitor delivery status and relay updates to relevant stakeholders.
  • Accounting Tasks: Handle accounts payable/receivable closing processes and other accountingrelated tasks.
  • Data Entry & Reporting: Input service information into the internal system and prepare activity reports for department managers.
  • Customer Support & Troubleshooting: Respond to and resolve customer inquiries effectively.
  • Adhoc Projects: Assist with other projects as assigned by management.

Qualifications:

  • Must be fluent in Korean.
  • Bachelors Degree required.
  • Proficiency in Microsoft Office Suite (Excel Word).
  • Strong attention to detail.
  • Effective teamwork and collaboration skills.
  • Excellent communication abilities.
