Job Description

Job Title: Accounts Executive

Location: Chembur

Reports To: Finance Manager/Director of Finance

Position Type: Fulltime

Job Summary:

The Accounts Executive will be responsible for managing financial transactions maintaining accurate records and supporting financial reporting processes. The ideal candidate will have strong accounting skills a passion for working in the nonprofit sector and a commitment to ensuring financial integrity.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Financial Record keeping:

    • Maintain accurate and uptodate financial records for all transactions.
    • Reconcile bank statements and other financial documents.
    • Process accounts payable and receivable in a timely manner.
  • Budget and Financial Reporting:

    • Assist in the preparation of monthly quarterly and annual financial reports.
    • Monitor budget vs. actual expenses and report discrepancies.
    • Support the Finance Manager in preparing financial statements and audits.
  • Donor and Grant Management:

    • Record and track donations grants and other funding sources.
    • Prepare donor reports and ensure compliance with donor restrictions.
    • Assist with grant reporting requirements and documentation.
  • Compliance and Controls:

    • Ensure adherence to financial policies and procedures.
    • Assist in internal and external audits.
    • Support compliance with financial regulations and donor requirements.
  • Administrative Support:

    • Provide administrative support to the finance team as needed.
    • Assist with payroll processing and employee expense reimbursements.
    • Maintain organized and accessible financial documentation.

Qualifications:

  • Education and Experience:

    • Bachelor s degree in Accounting Finance or a related field.
    • At least 2 years of experience in accounting or finance preferably in the nonprofit sector.
  • Skills:

    • Strong understanding of accounting principles and practices.
    • Proficiency in accounting software (e.g. QuickBooks Sage) and Microsoft Office Suite.
    • Excellent attention to detail and organizational skills.
    • Ability to manage multiple tasks and meet deadlines.
    • Strong analytical and problemsolving abilities.
