We are seeking an experienced Government Procurement Expert to lead and manage all aspects of government procurement processes. The ideal candidate will have indepth knowledge of procurement policies tender management vendor evaluation and contract negotiations within the public sector. The expert will ensure compliance with government regulations and best practices optimizing procurement efficiency and transparency.
Responsibilities
- Lead and manage the entire government procurement cycle including tendering vendor selection contract negotiations and contract management.
- Ensure compliance with public procurement policies standards and regulations.
- Develop procurement strategies to support project objectives and optimize costs while ensuring timely delivery of goods and services.
- Prepare and manage Requests for Proposals (RFPs) Invitations to Tender (ITTs) and other procurementrelated documents.
- Evaluate bids manage vendor relations and conduct market research for competitive pricing and quality.
- Coordinate with internal teams and external government bodies to ensure smooth procurement processes.
- Monitor contract performance and ensure all terms and conditions are met by vendors.
- Mitigate procurement risks by ensuring clear documentation transparency and ethical sourcing practices.
- Stay updated with changes in government procurement regulations and implement necessary process adjustments.
Requirements
- Bachelors degree in Business Administration Supply Chain Management or related field. A masters degree is preferred.
- At least 5 years of experience in public procurement preferably in government or large publicsector projects.
- Strong understanding of public procurement regulations and best practices.
- Experience in managing largescale government tenders and contracts.
- Proven negotiation and vendor management skills.
- Proficiency in procurement software and ERP systems.
- Excellent analytical communication and organizational skills.
