Position Overview: We are seeking a dynamic Department Manager to lead our Water/Wastewater Engineering Resource Group in the Buffalo NY area. This pivotal leadership role involves coordinating project work with our water/wastewater leaders and technical team ensuring alignment between management objectives and project efforts. The Department Manager will be responsible for scheduling project teams managing group utilization providing technical training and mentoring team members. Key Responsibilities:

• Serve as a trusted advisor to our water and wastewater clients contributing to business development and securing new projects.
  
• Diagnose analyze and implement process improvements for water and wastewater treatment.
  
• Optimize treatment plant operations including pre treatment filtration chemical disinfection and energy systems.
  
• Conduct asset evaluations and longterm capital planning.
  
• Perform hydraulic modeling of treatment processes and storage systems.
  
• Provide critical water and wastewater expertise to utility staff as needed.
  
• Represent the Water/Wastewater Group within the organization to senior management.
  

Requirements

Qualifications:

• Bachelor s Degree in Civil Chemical Environmental Engineering or a related field.
  
• Professional Engineer (PE) license required.
  
• 10 years of experience in water and/or wastewater engineering.
  
• Proficient in MS Office.
  
• Valid driver s license and willingness to travel to job sites and client meetings including occasional overnight travel.
  
• Strong leadership management and mentoring skills.
  
• Ability to work independently with minimal supervision.
