About the Role
The Count Room Manager plays a crucial role in ensuring the accurate and efficient handling of all casino funds. This position involves overseeing the daily operations of the count room where large amounts of cash and chips are processed and verified. Responsibilities include supervising a team of count room staff ensuring compliance with all regulatory and internal procedures and maintaining meticulous records of financial transactions. The Count Room Manager also collaborates with other departments to address discrepancies manage security protocols and implement improvements in cash handling processes. Attention to detail strong organizational skills and the ability to work under pressure are essential for success in this role which is vital to maintaining the financial integrity and smooth operation of the casino.
Responsibilities
- Supervise Count Room Operations: Oversee the daily activities in the count room ensuring accurate and efficient processing of cash and chips from gaming tables and slot machines.
- Manage Staff: Lead and train count room personnel schedule shifts and provide guidance to ensure high standards of performance and compliance with casino policies.
- Ensure Compliance: Monitor and enforce adherence to regulatory requirements and internal procedures for cash handling reporting and security.
- Reconcile Financial Transactions: Perform detailed reconciliations of cash and chip counts investigate and resolve any discrepancies and prepare detailed reports for management.
- Coordinate with Other Departments: Collaborate with finance security and operations teams to address issues related to cash handling security breaches or audit findings.
- Maintain Security Protocols: Implement and uphold security measures to safeguard cash and chip assets including overseeing surveillance systems and managing access to the count room.
- Conduct Audits: Regularly audit count room processes and procedures to ensure accuracy and integrity and recommend improvements as needed.
- Manage Kiosks: Maintain and regularly monitor the kiosk system throughout the casinos. This includes scheduling money movement repairs etc.
- Handle Discrepancies: Investigate and resolve discrepancies or anomalies in cash and chip counts preparing comprehensive documentation for review by senior management.
