Job Description
The role requires the incumbent to research plan coordinate and propose original designs of mechanical products and systems.
Responsibilities include developing new or modified products on CAD equipment and providing technical support to both internal and external customers.
Responsibilities:
- Research plan coordinate and propose original designs of mechanical products and systems.
- Perform testing of prototype and production equipment.
- Participate in customer and project review meetings presenting information as required.
- Analyze project work scope to develop and coordinate design/drafting manpower requirements for project demand and scheduling.
- Assist in conceptual customer design proposals and identification of applications.
- Prepare designs and layouts that define equipment concepts or basic functional characteristics of systems components structures or equipment.
- Lead design staff in analyzing design alternatives and suggest design options.
- Review complete product layouts working from detail drawings and subassemblies and prepare and review all levels of engineering calculations.
- Create check and review TCE and Engineering documentation through the ECN process.
- Manage project status for ontime delivery productivity quality and safety of design.
- Provide a link with the Product Groups to transfer new technologies or design improvements to operations.
- Follow all company rules and procedures for Engineering Quality Environment Health and Safety.
- Conduct and prepare design reviews.
- Conduct SITs and go on field assignments for new product installations and commissions.
- Provide technical support to manufacturing and marketing.
Requirements:
- BS degree in Mechanical Engineering preferred or equivalent.
- 12 years of relevant working experience (fresh graduates will be considered).
- Strong basic knowledge in engineering.
- Evidence of good organizational and problemsolving skills.
- Service/customeroriented mindset.
- Ability to work in a teamoriented environment and project culture.
- Good command of English.
