Finance Manager

JOB SUMMARY:Our client a leading luxury hair salon in Lagos is seeking a skilled Finance Manager to manage our financial operations. This role will be instrumental in providing financial insights analysis and support to drive profitability and growth. The ideal candidate will have a strong background in accounting and financial planning & analysis.

RESPONSIBILITIES:

Financial Planning & Analysis (FP&A):

Develop and maintain financial models for strategic planning budgeting and forecasting.

Analyze financial performance identify trends and provide actionable recommendations to

optimize revenue and control costs.

Prepare variance analysis reports to monitor key performance indicators (KPIs) and assess

progress towards targets.

Budgeting & Forecasting:

Collaborate with department heads to create annual operating budgets and periodic

forecasts.

Monitor budget vs. actual performance investigate variances and propose corrective

actions.

Update forecasts based on changing business conditions and market trends.

Accounting & Financial Reporting:

Oversee daily accounting activities including accounts payable accounts receivable and

general ledger maintenance.

Ensure timely and accurate monthend close processes preparing financial statements and

supporting schedules.

Coordinate with external auditors for annual audits and ensure compliance with statutory

requirements.

Tax & Regulatory Compliance:

Stay informed about tax regulations and ensure timely filing of VAT PAYE and other statutory

payments.

Assist in tax planning initiatives to optimize tax efficiency and minimize liabilities.

Liaise with external tax advisors and regulatory authorities to address inquiries and

compliance issues.

Requirements

Requirements:

Bachelors degree in Finance Accounting Economics or a related field. MBA or professional

certification (ACCA CFA) is a plus and can be considered in lieu of a degree.

Proven experience in financial planning and analysis preferably in the retail beauty or

service industry.

Strong analytical skills with the ability to interpret complex financial data and provide

actionable recommendations.

Proficiency in financial modeling budgeting software and Microsoft Excel.

Excellent communication and interpersonal skills with the ability to collaborate effectively

across departments.

Meticulous attention to detail accuracy and integrity.
