RQ07723 - Systems TestingQA Specialist - Junior

Responsibilities:

• Support QA leads in executing and reconciling tests to ensure the effective and timely completion of QA/testing tasks.
  
• Adhere to establish QA processes best practices and templates under the guidance of QA leads or senior analysts.
  
• Contribute to the development of QA test plan test cases and test scenarios under the supervision of Senior QA team members.
  
• Develop an understanding of the system focusing on learning that how changes impact the system functionality.
  
• Assist in identifying gaps in requirement or implementation by participating in detailed testing of the system changes.
  
• Help in verifying all business rules data field specifications and other validations which are implemented according to the requirements.
  
• Assist in verifying the application and system flow ensuring the system functions are expected.
  
• Prepare test data and participate in data testing and reconciliation activities.
  
• Execute test cases and test scenarios according to the test plan and report defects in QA testing tools.
  
• Assist in performing regression tests as well as integration test with different modules of the system application.
  
• Assist in functional as well as Accessibility Compliance testing under the supervision of experienced of QA lead or senior team member.
  
• Responsible for problem identification create and updating defect reports with the help of senior staff.
  
• Document and perform test results and provide feedback to the QA leads.
  
• Participate in daily standup meetings and collaborate with QA and other project teams to understand the progress and issues.
  
• Contribute to providing test summaries and daily status reports as directed by the QA lead.
  
• Assist with Change Management processes by following the established guidelines.
  
• Engage in knowledge sharing sessions and document learnings as instructed by QA leads.
  

Additional Responsibilities:

• Work with Development team and other cross functional teams to support project and customer issue resolution.
  
• Follow government software development standards including System Development Life Cycle and Project Management Life Cycle.
  
• Complete assigned work and milestones within set deadlines.
  
• Notify the Manager/leads in writing of any issues or other material concerns related to the assignment deliverables.
  
• Submit deliveries for the Cluster/Ministry approval as they are completed.
  
• Adhere to Ontario Government and ministry security procedures and practices.
  
  

Requirements

• 25 years of experience in executing testingrelated activities and data reconciliation for large complex businesscritical systems with support from Senior team members.
  
• Proficiency with testing tools and problem tracking software (e.g. Jira Bugzilla Microfocus Product Suite).
  
• Familiarity with webbased 3tier software platforms.
  Effective coordination across cross functional teams
• Effective verbal and written communication skills
  
• Good analytical problemsolving and decisionmaking capabilities.
