Job Description
- Perform vehicle maintenance and repairs for customers.
- Using diagnostic equipment identify vehicle problems.
- Provide excellent customer service while explaining automotive repairs and issues.
- Repair procedures should be planned using charts manuals and experience.
- Parts and systems must be tested for functionality.
- Oil changes fluid level checks and tire rotation are examples of primary auto care and maintenance tasks.
- Replace brake pads wheel bearings sensors and other components.
- Perform routine vehicle maintenance and general mechanic work.
- Willingness to learn through handson experience.
- Assist in keeping the repair shop clean and organized.
- Maintain a professional demeanor.
Requirements
- Experience with automotive and engine repair or auto mechanic training is required.
- Certifications from ASE are necessary.
- Valid drivers license.
- Associates degree in auto maintenance and repair.
- Ability to present a professional image while providing friendly customer service.
- To keep accurate records it is necessary to read interpret and transcribe data.
- Perform routine maintenance and other tasks in a fastpaced environment.
- May lift objects that weigh as much as 50 lbs.
- A high school diploma or equivalent is required.
- Experience as a lube technician or prepared to do onthejob training.
- Understanding of automotive airconditioning systems.
- Ability to use the diagnostic equipment.
- Experience with heavy equipment and as a diesel mechanic diesel engine knowledge or prepared to do onthejob training.
- Good handeye coordination.

High school diploma or GED. Certification in automotive glass repair and installation through the National Glass Association (NGA) is advantageous. Proven experience working as an auto glass technician. Sound knowledge of automotive glass repair and installation techniques. Proven experience as an auto body technician. Formal training as an auto body technician will be advantageous. Thorough knowledge of relevant safety guidelines. Basic arithmetic skills. Physically fit with exceptional manual dexterity.
