Job Summary:

As a Carpenter an ideal candidate will have refined knowledge and experience within the construction industry. Clear and effective communication will be demonstrated in this role with good time management and an advanced understanding of the trade.

Key Responsibilities

• Provide proper training on the safe use of hand tools and power equipment.
• Assist other trades onsite as needed.
• Read and interpret blueprints drawings and sketches to determine specifications and calculate requirements.
• Prepare layouts in conformance to building codes using measuring tools.
• Measure cut shape assemble and join materials made of wood wood substitutes lightweight steel and other materials.
• Build foundations install floor beams lay subflooring and erect walls and roof systems.
• Maintain repair and renovate residences and wooden structures in mills mines hospitals industrial plants and other establishments.

Requirements

• Minimum 3 years of experience as a Formwork Carpenter in construction.

• Ability to meet the physical demands of the job (standing for long periods of time lifting heavy loads of up to 90lbs).

• Red seal is desirable.
• Strong customer service and frontfacing skills.
• Knowledge in all aspects of framwork Carpentry.
• A good gut for heights managing a crew and working on busy high pressure job sites.
• Aptitude in math.
• MUST have experience working with highrise construction and Peri Self Driving Hydraulics Systems Core & Typical Core
