Job Purpose - Maintain efficient and sustainable technical data management and associated workflows throughout the full project data lifecycle, including project framing, setup, execution, and close-out, as well as results publishing and assurance. Assist in digitalization and automation initiatives for Subsurface Data Management within the Subsurface Data & Services department. Key Job Accountabilities - I - Establish a journey towards a future cloud-based data-centric environment and engage asset staff in new working practices through a structured management of change program to leverage digitalization strategies for improved and more efficient upstream decision-making.- Develop communication packs and facilitate communication between Subsurface Data Management and Subsurface IT by utilizing knowledge of systems and projects. This includes building design cases and User Acceptance Testing (UAT) scenarios within the project scope.- Establish working collaborations with Subsurface departments to identify and implement key strategic initiatives in accordance with Data Management International (DAMA) standards, promoting the understanding, development, and practice of managing data and information as key enterprise assets to support the organization.- Develop and implement processes and guidelines for data governance, information classification, and data quality KPIs/metrics for subsurface data projects.- Coordinate the development and implementation of strategies/roadmaps for data automation, data analytics initiatives, and system integration projects for the Subsurface data and application landscape to support the future expansion of Qatargas. Key Job Accountabilities - II - Facilitate the establishment of ISRA and other security controls for projects and technologies being assessed and tested with the IT-SS and Information Security teams.- Identify, design, and build data visualization dashboards and KPIs for Subsurface departments, as well as reporting dashboards for management as part of the projects.- Integrate new data sets, support locating necessary information, and provide technical support for the Subsurface department as part of the projects. Perform data loading, quality control, and data analysis activities within the scope of the projects, ensuring the accuracy and completeness of subsurface data in subsurface applications and corporate repositories.- Promote a data-centric mindset and support the drive for improvement and change in technical data delivery and loading processes and workflows.- Execute a smooth transition of matured projects to the Data Management Operations team for regular run and maintenance. Qualifications - Bachelor’s degree in Engineering, Earth Science, Data Science, Computer Science, or Information Technology. Knowledge and/or Experience - I - 8 years of broad-based experience in Subsurface Data Management, including familiarity with Subsurface Applications commonly used within the upstream oil and gas industry. Technical and Business Skills - I - Extensive understanding of Data Management and Subsurface & Wells environments, with advanced knowledge of data management tools, SSW applications, databases, subsurface domain data types, and industry-standard subsurface data models (e.g., PPDM).- Substantial data management skills, familiarity with analytics tools (e.g., Spotfire, Power BI), and excellent working-level experience with database management systems, especially Oracle and SQL Server.- Intermediate proficiency in scripting languages such as PowerShell and Python, and Microsoft Office tools, including Excel macros.- Excellent written and spoken English with the ability to develop and present formal presentations to internal and external senior audiences.- Ability to conceptualize complex issues and requirements.
