Senior Civil Engineer

Roles and responsibilities

Co-ordinate , Manage and execute all the Civil works related to wells ( Like Oil , PWI, Khuff , RG wells, Workover or any other type of wells) including all the crossings / Jump over / Anchor’s etc.
Follow with client for requirement of GIS map and associated works.
Follow up / tracking of all the excavation permits / certificates for smooth execution of work.
Responsible for the design review of construction works before starting the work at site.
Coordinate with design team for the comments from construction difficulties and ensure the proper incorporation of the requirement in line with the contractual obligation in consultation with project control department and SPM.
Day to day co-ordination with QatarEnergy for project related matters.
Coordinate with internal department for Fabrication, casting, and painting and ensure the availability of Civil materials such as precast supports, slab , marker post etc for smooth execution of the work.
Manage and mentor the site teams, Its deployment to meet the milestone dates in safe manner.
Review the requirements of Manpower , Materials, Equipment’s as per workload and its deployment.
Any other duties assigned by Senior Project Manager time to time.
Review /Preparation of method statements, work instruction , or any other project related documents.
Review daily report and approval for Over time.
Project Design and Development
Design Leadership: Lead the design of civil engineering projects, ensuring that they meet both client requirements and regulatory standards. This includes the planning of structural elements, drainage systems, roads, utilities, and other infrastructure components.
Site Surveys and Investigations: Oversee or conduct site assessments, surveys, and geotechnical investigations to evaluate the environmental, structural, and regulatory conditions before the design phase.
Detailed Plans and Specifications: Prepare detailed engineering plans, drawings, and specifications for the project. Ensure that the designs are accurate and comply with all relevant codes and standards.
Sustainability Focus: Incorporate sustainability and environmental considerations into the project designs, such as minimizing resource consumption, reducing waste, and adhering to environmental regulations.

Desired candidate profile

Project Management and Coordination
Project Planning and Scheduling: Develop and manage project schedules, ensuring that civil engineering tasks are completed on time and within the scope of the project.
Budget Management: Prepare and manage project budgets, ensuring that the project stays within financial limits. Track costs, approve expenditures, and ensure that financial resources are used efficiently.
Team Leadership: Lead, mentor, and supervise junior engineers, technicians, and other team members. Provide technical guidance and support, ensuring that the team adheres to best practices and meets project deadlines.
Stakeholder Communication: Serve as the point of contact for clients, project managers, contractors, and regulatory bodies, ensuring clear communication regarding project updates, issues, and changes.
Construction Oversight
Site Supervision: Oversee the construction phase of projects, ensuring that the work is being executed according to the plans and specifications. Conduct site visits to monitor construction progress, quality, and safety.
Quality Assurance and Control: Implement quality control procedures to ensure that materials, workmanship, and processes meet the required standards. Conduct regular inspections and review progress reports.
Coordination with Contractors: Work closely with contractors, subcontractors, and suppliers to ensure that construction activities are carried out effectively and efficiently. Manage conflicts or delays and resolve issues promptly.
