Job Description

Medsolve are proud to be partnering with an amazing company who are looking for a dedicated Children s Support Worker to provide quality personcentred support to Children and Young People who require structure in their lives. Our client is a specialist provider of residential care for children aged 11 to 18 with additional and behavioural needs.

Experience of dealing with young people s mental health youth offenders and challenging behaviours is advantageous.

This is a Permanent role and we offer a salary of 12.44 per hour. Please note we do NOT offer sponsorship.


The shifts are on a rota and you must be flexible to cover days nights weekends and sleep ins.

The Main Purpose of the Childrens Support Worker is:

  • Provide care for children/young people supporting and contributing to the individual assessment and the implementation of plans for their future.
  • Support the child/young person in achieving their daily living needs and promoting living skills.
  • Be actively part of safeguarding the young people within and away from the home and reporting any concerns


We are looking for a Children s Support Worker with some of the following skills and attributes:

  • A level of flexibility as required to work shift patterns including day shifts evening shifts and sleepingin duties.
  • Good Communication as liaising with colleagues externally; with relatives other significant people and outside agencies.
  • Being able to form relationships with young people which will support the care and assessment process and encourage them to participate fully in the opportunities offered by the home and organisation.
  • Good admin skills.
  • To participate in inhouse staff development and training programmes.
  • Being fully aware of racial cultural and religious issues and antioppressive practice.
  • Right to Work in the UK
  • NVQ lev 2 preferred.
  • 6 Months UK experience of working within a similar setting
  • 5 years of professional references
  • Driver (preferred)
  • A Good Listener
  • Patient Kind Caring and Empathetic
