As a Senior Accountant youll oversee the monthly financial close manage revenue recognition in line with GAAP and ASC 606 and ensure compliance with accounting policies. You ll handle quarterly partner payments tax return preparation account reconciliations and support special projects while optimizing platforms like QuickBooks and SalesForce.

Orchestrate Financial Harmony:

• Manage the monthly financial close process by ensuring all costs incurred are properly recorded preparing journal entries and maintaining the general ledger.
  
• Oversee revenue recognition to ensure all contract revenue is recorded in compliance with GAAP and ASC 606.
  
• Document and maintain accounting policies and procedures to ensure regulatory compliance and the integrity of financials.
  
• Calculate quarterly partner payments.
  
• Assist in compiling information for the preparation of tax returns financial statement audits and sales tax returns.
  
• Prepare monthly account reconciliations for various balance sheet accounts investigate and resolve discrepancies and perform variance analysis.
  
• Maintain the reimbursement policy for all team members ensuring all necessary documentation is accounted for and approved.
  
• Aid in optimizing existing platforms and using systems such as QuickBooks SalesForce Maxio etc.
  
• Assist with special ad hoc projects and analysis as required.
  

Requirements

Ingredients for Crafting a Success Story:

• Bachelor s Degree in Accounting.
  
• Proven experience as an accountant with seniorlevel duties and responsibilities (preferably with US accounting experience).
  
• Basic knowledge of US tax regulations (preferably).
  
• 24 years of previous accounting experience in Public Accounting or within a Software as a Service (SaaS)/Technology Company.
  
• Proven knowledge and applied practice of GAAP and ASC 606.
  
• Strong analytical and problemsolving skills with intermediatelevel proficiency in Microsoft Excel (e.g. VLOOKUP pivot tables).
  
• General understanding of QuickBooks or other comparable ERP systems is preferred.
  
• Highly organized and resultsoriented with the ability to meet tight deadlines and manage multiple priorities.
  
• Selfmotivated detailoriented flexible team player who is effective at working independently.
  
• Strong verbal/written communication and interpersonal skills.
  
• Actively pursuing or interested in obtaining a CPA is a plus.
