Job Description
JOB SUMMARY
Esusu Financial is the leading financial technology company building solutions for financial access and inclusion. Our flagship Esusu Rent product enables renters to build credit by making ontime rental payments while helping landlords improve property performance. Founded in 2016 by Wemimo Abbey and Samir Goel Esusu aims to dismantle barriers to housing for working families by leveraging data to bridge the racial wealth gap.
Esusu is seeking a Senior Accounting Manager to manage our outsourced accounting team in the Philippines and assist with daily and monthly accounting and financial functions . Reporting to the Controller and collaborating with individuals across the organization this individual will help shape the company s finance organization.
RESPONSIBILITIES
Manage the four incountry Philippine team members.
Assist in managing financial accounting and reporting activities for the US company.
Prepare financial data and companies ledgers for purposes of financial reporting and analysis.
Prepare analytical reviews and reporting packages for senior management.
Prepare financial reports as needed for statutory banking investment and other purposes.
Assist in design and implementation of corporate accounting policies and procedures.
Assist corporate external audit efforts by assembling and reviewing working papers.
Assist in resolution of any accounting and internal control issues.
Improve timeliness and accuracy of financial closing and reporting.
Assume other activities and responsibilities from time to time as directed.
REQUIREMENTS (Identify which of the qualifications are Musts and GoodtoHaves)
At least 7 years of combined experience in auditing financial accounting and reporting capacity for US companies
At least 3 years management experience
Candidate must have excellent knowledge of GAAP.
Bachelors degree in Accounting or Finance with a strong academic record
Excellent quantitative and qualitative analytical skills
Must have excellent understanding of accounting areas related to accounting for intercompany transactions accounts payable cycle accounts receivable cycle and collections.
Good English written and oral communication skills with polished presentation skills
Good English communications both written and verbal
Must be willing to work in Mondays to Fridays 9AM6PM EST
Advantageous/Preferably:
Additional certification (e.g. CPA) is a plus
