Senior Accountant

Description: Were seeking a highly skilled and detailoriented individual to join our team as a parttime remote bookkeeper/accountant. This position offers flexible hours and the ability to work from home. The ideal candidate must be proficient in accounting software.

Accounting Services for Small Mid size Business

General Accounting Services

Bookkeeping Services

Revenue Recognition Accounting / Consulting

Fractional CFO Services

Responsibilities:

  1. Financial Reporting:

    • Prepare and review financial statements including balance sheets income statements and cash flow statements.
    • Ensure compliance with GAAP/IFRS and other regulatory requirements.
    • Conduct financial analysis and prepare reports for management.
  2. MonthEnd and YearEnd Close:

    • Manage the monthend and yearend closing processes.
    • Reconcile accounts and ensure all financial data is accurate and uptodate.
    • Prepare and post journal entries.
  3. Budgeting and Forecasting:

    • Assist in the preparation of annual budgets and financial forecasts.
    • Monitor and analyze budget performance and provide variance analysis.
  4. Audit and Compliance:

    • Support internal and external audits ensuring timely and accurate responses to audit requests.
    • Maintain and update accounting policies and procedures.
    • Ensure compliance with tax regulations and assist with tax filings.
  5. Accounts Payable and Receivable:

    • Oversee the accounts payable and receivable functions.
    • Ensure timely and accurate processing of invoices and payments.
    • Manage the aging reports and follow up on outstanding receivables.
  6. Advisory and Strategy:

    • Provide financial insights and recommendations to support strategic decisionmaking.
    • Collaborate with other departments to support overall business objectives.

Qualifications:

  • Education:

    • Bachelor s degree in Accounting Finance or a related field.
    • CPA certification is preferred.
  • Experience:

    • Minimum of 5 years of accounting experience with at least 2 years in a senior accounting role.
    • Experience with accounting software and ERP systems (e.g. QuickBooks SAP Oracle).
    • Have worked with US companies
  • Skills:

    • Strong knowledge of GAAP/IFRS and financial regulations.
    • Excellent analytical and problemsolving skills.
    • Proficiency in Microsoft Office Suite particularly Excel.
    • Strong communication and interpersonal skills.
    • Ability to work independently and manage multiple priorities.


Qualifications and Skills: MUST have 5+ years experience with US Accounting/Tax companies. High school diploma or equivalent; some college education is preferred. Previous experience in appointment setting, lead generation, sales support, or a related field is advantageous. Excellent verbal and written communication skills. Proficient in using CRM systems, scheduling software, and other relevant tools. Strong organizational and time management abilities. Attention to detail and accuracy in data entry and record-keeping. Ability to handle a high volume of calls and appointments while maintaining professionalism and a positive demeanor. Familiarity with outsourcing industry terminology and services is a plus. Goal-oriented mindset with the ability to meet or exceed performance targets. Strong interpersonal skills and the ability to build rapport with prospects.
