OPERATOR WATER & SEWER (Treatment and Distribution)

Location: Campbellton Regional Community N.B.

Job Status: Fulltime

Hourly Rate: $25.81/hr to $30.23/hr

Unionized Position

Schedule: Monday to Friday (8 to 5)

Reporting to the department manager you will ensure the daytoday operation and maintenance of the entire
treatment plant and pumping stations included in the wastewater system.


How you will make a difference:

This role offers evolving responsibilities providing a platform for you to advance while obtaining essential provincial certifications.
Your responsibilities will include among other things coordinating and monitoring the operation of the wastewater treatment plant and related systems inspecting and maintaining equipment monitoring operating conditions adjusting wastewater flow and collecting and testing samples to ensure they meet standards. They will also record test results manage supplies participate in emergency protocol planning prepare operational reports and respond to public complaints. This role also involves general maintenance and other necessary physical and manual tasks.








Requirements

What you bring:

Excellent troubleshooting skills combined with mechanical electrical or plumbing abilities are considered a valuable asset

A reputation for maintaining good relationships with colleagues and clients excelling in an environment that requires patience kindness attention to detail and multitasking;

Relevant experiences related to this type of work;

A proficiency in using computer software;

A postsecondary degree in a related field or a combination of experience in a relevant field and a high school diploma
