Job Description

Our client is looking to appoint a Procurement Intern for 12 months to join their dynamic team.

Purpose of the role

We are looking for a Procurement intern to join the procurement team and gain handson experience in procurement and supply chain management.

Key responsibilities

The successful graduate will gain experience in:

  • Reporting on sales
  • Reporting on insurance claims
  • Analyzing and reporting on pricing
  • Managing vendors stakeholders
  • Conduct Analysis on quality and cost saving
  • Assist with maintaining accurate records of all procurement activities.
  • Help coordinate and track stock to ensure timely delivery.
  • Assist with inventory management including stock taking.
  • Collaborate with suppliers and internal departments.

Requirements

  • Recently graduated or completed a Bachelors degree in Logistics Supply Chain Management or a related field.
  • Familiarity with procurement software and systems is beneficial.
  • Excellent communication negotiation and presentation skills.
  • Consistent academic excellence.
  • Proficient in using Microsoft Office Suite including Word Excel and PowerPoint.
  • Strong organizational skills and attention to detail.
  • Selfstarter self motivated and selfmanaged.
  • Creativity proactiveness and strong interpersonal skills.
  • Integrity and dependability.
  • Professional and committed.
  • Customer serviceoriented attitude.
  • Strong sense of urgency.
  • Attention to detail and accuracy in completing tasks.
  • Proactive in taking initiative.
  • Ability to conduct basic administrative tasks and research.
  • Ability to thrive in fastpaced and highpressure environment.
  • Immaculate timekeeping.

Monthly Stipend between R8000 R12000 over a 12month period.
