The Government and Legal Affairs Manager will be committed to fostering strong relationships with government entities to ensure regulatory compliance promote Efficios interests and contribute positively to the socioeconomic development of Saudi Arabia. We are seeking a highly experienced versatile Government and Legal Affairs Manager to join our team in Riyadh. The successful candidate will be responsible for developing and implementing strategies to effectively engage with government entities monitor legislative and regulatory developments advocate for Efficios interests and ensure compliance with relevant regulations. This role requires legal/compliance background deep understanding of regulatory frameworks strong communication risk management and the ability to build relationships with key stakeholders.
Key Responsibilities
As a Government and Legal Affairs Manager you will play a critical role in ensuring that Efficio operates in accordance with applicable laws regulations industry standards as well as internal policies and procedures. You will be responsible for developing strategies to maintain compliance and achieve regulatory objectives relating to our MENA business (UAE and Saudi Arabia) including but not limited to the following tasks.
Developing and implementing government affairs and compliance strategies to ensure adherence to relevant laws and regulations.
Drafting and reviewing a wide range of contracts professional and consulting services contracts and general commercial contracts.
Maintaining an updated indepth understanding of government laws keeping abreast of the changes and recommending policies procedures and practices required to operate in accordance with the local law and regulations.
Establishing and maintaining productive relationships with government agencies officials and key stakeholders to advocate for Efficios interests.
Assisting in the development and implementation of compliance processes to relating to our new Regional Headquarters in Saudi.
Ensuring ongoing compliance with all specific government regulations relevant to transactions and operations.
Collaborating with internal teams (i.e. HR Finance Business Development Operations ...etc) to address compliance issues analyze the impact of proposed regulations and develop appropriate responses and action plans.
Providing legal advice and support on contractual issues regulatory compliance and risk management.
Assisting with other legal projects and initiatives as assigned.
Representing the company at industry conferences forums and other events to network with government officials and promote our brand and initiatives. Essential Requirements
Qualified lawyer in Saudi Arabia with right to appear in Saudi courts as Efficios legal representative
Minimum of 10 years of experience working in compliance and government relations in Saudi.
The legal knowledge to act as a senior advisor to the client and serve as an escalation point on issues for more junior team members.
Experience of independently drafting commercial contracts and advising growing MENA business on compliance matters.
Experience working inhouse ideally with some professional services background (Big Four / MBB / other consultancy)
Strong interpersonal communication and negotiation skills with the ability to build and maintain relationships with government officials other external stakeholders as well as internal stakeholders.
Excellent organizational skills and attention to detail with the ability to manage multiple priorities and deadlines effectively.
Demonstrated ability to think strategically anticipate challenges and develop proactive solutions.
Multicultural awareness and willing to be part of an international team.
Fluency in Arabic and English both written and verbal.
IT literate proficiency with MS Office required (Word Excel PowerPoint Outlook). Desirable Requirements
