Job Description

We are seeking a highly motivated and skilled Leather Production Operations/Process Manager for our new manufacturing branch in Atlantis Western Cape. This role is critical in overseeing all technological operations coordinating production systems and ensuring the overall quality and efficiency of our production processes. The ideal candidate will possess strong leadership qualities excellent communication skills and the ability to manage and resolve problems effectively to minimize disruptions in the production process.

Key Responsibilities:
  • Production Coordination: Oversee and manage the daily operations of the leather production process ensuring smooth and efficient workflow.
  • Quality Assurance: Implement and maintain quality control procedures to ensure high standards of production.
  • Technological Operations: Support and optimize technological operations to enhance productivity and efficiency.
  • Team Management: Lead and motivate the production team fostering a collaborative and highperformance work environment.
  • Problem Solving: Identify and resolve any issues or disruptions in the production process promptly.
  • Client Communication: Communicate effectively with clients from around the world addressing their needs and ensuring customer satisfaction.
  • Training and Development: Provide training and development opportunities for team members to enhance their skills and knowledge.

Qualifications and Experience:
  • Language Skills: Preferably a Germanspeaking candidate but not necessary
  • Educational Background: Bachelor’s degree or similar especially in Chemistry though not a necessity.
  • Work Ethic: Demonstrated track record of hard work honesty and a strong work ethic.
  • Learning and Development: Willingness to learn and participate in ongoing training.
  • Leadership Skills: Strong leadership qualities with the ability to inspire and guide a team.
  • Technical Skills: Good understanding of basic technical skills and proficiency in IT especially Excel.
  • Communication Skills: Excellent communication skills both verbal and written to interact effectively with team members and clients.

Ideal Candidate Profile:
  • Proven experience in a production or operations management role preferably within the leather manufacturing industry.
  • Strong problemsolving skills and the ability to make decisions under pressure.
  • Ability to work independently as well as part of a team.
  • Strong organizational and time management skills.
  • A proactive approach to identifying and implementing process improvements.
