Job Description

We are seeking a dedicated and experienced Assistant Director of Nursing (ADON) specializing in wound care to join our team at our stateoftheart health and rehab facility. As the ADON for Wound Care you will play a crucial role in overseeing and managing the wound care program ensuring the highest quality of care for our residents. You will work closely with the Director of Nursing and the multidisciplinary team to develop and implement effective wound care protocols and treatment plans.

Responsibilities:

  • Oversee and manage the wound care program ensuring adherence to best practices and regulatory standards.
  • Conduct comprehensive assessments of residents with wounds develop individualized treatment plans and monitor progress.
  • Provide direct wound care treatment including wound cleaning dressing changes and other therapeutic interventions.
  • Educate residents families and staff on wound care management prevention strategies and proper techniques.
  • Collaborate with the multidisciplinary team including physicians nurses and therapists to ensure coordinated and comprehensive care.
  • Monitor and document residents wound healing progress adjusting treatment plans as necessary to achieve optimal outcomes.
  • Maintain accurate and uptodate records of wound care treatments progress notes and resident outcomes in compliance with regulatory standards.
  • Assist in developing and implementing wound care policies procedures and protocols to enhance the quality of care.
  • Participate in team meetings case conferences and continuing education opportunities to enhance professional development and stay current with industry trends.
  • Assist the Director of Nursing with administrative duties and assume responsibilities in their absence.

Qualifications:

  • Bachelors or Masters degree in Nursing from an accredited program.
  • Current state licensure as a Registered Nurse (RN).
  • Certification in wound care (WOCN CWCN or equivalent) preferred.
  • Proven experience in wound care management preferably in a health and rehab setting.
  • Strong clinical skills and knowledge of evidencebased practices in wound care.
  • Excellent communication and interpersonal skills with the ability to build rapport with residents families and team members.
  • Ability to work independently and as part of a multidisciplinary team.
  • Proficiency in using electronic medical records (EMR) systems and MS Office suite.

Compensation:

  • Salary: $85000 annually commensurate with experience and qualifications.
