Remote Infrastructure Engineer

Tasks

• Project Management:

1. Lead and manage projects related to Azure and Office 365 from planning to execution and completion.

2. Coordinate with crossfunctional teams to ensure projects are delivered on time and within budget.

3. Provide regular project updates to stakeholders and the IT leadership team.

4. Support and own the Fortinet firewalls deployed across our schools.

• BusinessasUsual (BAU) Support:

1. Perform daily operational tasks including backup checks Windows patching SSL certificates management and system monitoring.

2. Troubleshoot and resolve technical issues related to Azure Office 365 and related systems.

3. Migration of on premsystems to SharePoint/OneDrive and management of on prem Active Directory/AzureAD.

4. Provide timely incident response and root cause analysis for critical incidents.

• Development Team Support:

1. Collaborate with the development team to ensure smooth functioning of systems supporting the development lifecycle.

2. Assist in the deployment of new systems to support growth and innovation.

3. Provide technical guidance and support to the development team on infrastructure related matters.

• Documentation and Knowledge Sharing:

1. Maintain comprehensive documentation of configurations procedures and best practices.

2. Share knowledge with team members and contribute to the continuous improvement of IT processes.

Requirements

• Bachelors degree in a related field or an equivalent MCAST qualification or equivalent experience.
• At least 23 years of experience in managing and administering Azure and Microsoft 365 environments.
• Experience in designing implementing and maintaining security monitoring and incident response.
• Strong understanding of cloud security principles practices and industry best practices.
• Familiarity with scripting and automation tools to streamline operational tasks.
• Excellent troubleshooting and problemsolving skills with a focus on root cause analysis.
• Knowledge of security audits risk assessments and vulnerability management.
• Ability to work collaboratively with crossfunctional teams and communicate effectively.
• Experience in DevSecOps methodologies is considered a plus.
• Experience building and deploying applications to the cloud (Azure)
• Ability to work autonomously with minimum supervision and to integrate well within a team.
• Excellent problem solving and analytical skills.
• Ability to quickly learn new technologies in depth.
