Responsibilities:
- Oversee the daytoday running of the faculty
- Work with the Deputy Head (Integration) Deputy Head (Academic) Assistant Head of Faculty and subject teachers to create and continually evaluate and develop a high quality fully integrated curriculum
- Work with other leaders to ensure a continuous learning programme across all grades
- Develop a scheme of work with clearly indicated resource options and activities to deliver vibrant bilingual teaching and learning
- Oversee the preparation of online resources for all students unable to be present in school
- Observe subject teachers taking classes and provide facetoface and written postobservation feedback and targets that meet and then exceed the teachers standards as set out in the school policy
- Mentor teachers in the Faculty undertaking professional development including PDQ and QTS etc
- Contribute to the appraisal of staff and ensure the sharing of best practice between teachers
- Take a leading role in the development of research projects to continually improve the standards of teaching and learning in the subject(s) and across Faculties
- Support the preparation and delivery of trial classes for Open Days and other marketing events
- Assist students in preparation for overseas transfers and further study as required by the school
- Work with other teachers and the Learning Support Department to provide support for students
- Oversee the planning and delivery of exciting and challenging trips competitions performances fixtures activities and events that enrich the education of the students activities
- Manage the Faculty budget so that teaching and learning resources are ordered shared and used efficiently
- Manage and control fixed assets assigned to the Faculty
- Teach approximately 67% timetable
Requirements
Required Skills and Qualifications:
- A full understanding of the benefits of a fully integrated bilingual curriculum
- Strong belief in holistic education
- Have Qualified Teacher Status (QTS) or equivalent
- A relevant degree in a subject taught in the Faculty
- Experience teaching to A Level (or equivalent)
- Experience preparing candidates for entry to high ranking international universities
- Excellent spoken and written English
- Excellent IT communication and interpersonal skills
- The ability to motivate and collaborate well with others
- Flexibility good humour patience and a calm approach to negotiations
