Role Description
We are seeking a diligent and detailoriented Dispute Analyst to join our team. The Dispute Analyst will be responsible for managing and resolving disputes related to transactions processed through our payment gateway platform. This role requires a strong understanding of payment processing excellent analytical skills and the ability to communicate effectively with our clients.
Key Responsibilities:
1. Reviewing the submission of disputes raised by merchants customers or financial institutions regarding transactions processed through our payment gateway.
2. Gather and analyze relevant transaction data including transaction records invoices and communication logs to determine the root cause of disputes.
3. Communicate with merchants customers and financial institutions to obtain additional information and documentation related to disputes.
4. Work closely with internal teams including customer support operations and finance to gather necessary information and facilitate the resolution of disputes.
5. Collaborate with external partners such as banks and payment networks to escalate and resolve complex disputes.
6. Document dispute resolution processes and maintain accurate records of all dispute cases and their outcomes.
7. Identify trends and patterns in dispute data to proactively prevent future disputes and improve our payment processes.
8. Stay updated on industry regulations and best practices related to dispute management and payment processing.
Qualifications:
1. Bachelors degree in any field . MBA preferred.
2. Prior experience in dispute management preferably in the payments industry or financial services sector.
3. Strong analytical skills with the ability to interpret complex transaction data and identify discrepancies. SQL (Good to have)
4. Excellent communication and interpersonal skills with the ability to effectively communicate with stakeholders at all levels.
5. Detailoriented with a focus on accuracy and completeness in documentation and recordkeeping.
6. Ability to work independently and collaboratively in a fastpaced environment with tight deadlines.
7. Proficiency in Microsoft Office suite particularly Excel for data analysis and reporting.
