Finance Manager - Aspire LOGISTICS

• To plan and manage all activities pertaining to financial accounting in Aspire Logistics to ensure timely and accurate preparation of financial reports. • Develop financial accounting policies and procedures in order to ensure consistency in departmental performance, in line with regulatory and statutory requirements and generally accepted accounting principles (GAAP) and International Financial Reporting Standards (IFRS). • Manage corporate financial accounting and perform analytical review of major income, expenses and exceptions in order to ensure that the monthly accounts are closed and submitted on a timely basis and management is provided with adequate financial data and analysis to make informed decisions • Prepare audit work plans, co-ordinate with auditors, manage the compliance of statutory audit requirements, review year end audit schedules finalization for all balance sheet accounts and relevant P&L accounts and discuss key audit issues in order to provide opinions on audit matters and ensure the timely completion of audits on schedules. • Assist in the effective achievement of functional objectives, setting individual objectives, managing performance, developing, training and motivating staff and providing formal and informal feedback and appraisal in order to maximize subordinate and unit performance and contribute to overall business performance • University degree in Accounting or related. • CPA / CA/ ACCA • 12 years of related experience of which a minimum of 4 years should be in a similar position / responsibility, preferably in a similar Industry. • GAAP and IFRS • Automated financial and accounting reporting systems • Local financial regulations About The Company Rising to international prominence through successful staging of the 2006 Asian Games, Qatar’s Aspire Zone boasts some of the world’s finest sport stadia and venues offering a unique sport, sports medicine, research and education destination for the international sports industry.
