Lead Front End Software Engineer
Are you atalented and highly motivatedFrontend engineer
As Lead Front end engineer at Vaarst you will provide both technical and leadership to build and improve the frontends across a range of new and existing Vaarst products. Initially you will focus on our data platform (Vaantage Vaantage 3D and Vaantage AI) products working primarily in Typescript and React employing highquality software engineering practices to mature and implement new features. You will help guide and build a consistent design across all Vaarst products including SubSLAM.
In addition this is an incredible opportunity to help further the transition to renewable energy.
Vaarst is an exciting and dynamic environment meaning these are likely to change as we grow upon joining your objectives and responsibilities will include:
- Taking ownership and leading the development of highquality frontends for our products putting the user experience at the forefront providing vision and direction for the team.
- Communicate and collaborate with designers the product team and other stakeholders onboth technical and design discussions
- Modifying and testing changes to previously developed products
- Breaking down and managing requirements building appropriate solutions
- Contribute to and uphold agile development practices prioritising multiple tasks and projects effectively.
- Learn new technologies staying up to date with the latest frontend and design tools incorporating a techfirst approach.
- Maintain high quality front end in both appearance and the code behind it with a high level of attention to detail.
About you & what you will bring
Were looking for an experienced and talented software engineer who has what it takes to make a real impact in this role. (we know its tough but please try to avoid the confidence gap. You dont have to match all the listed requirements exactly to be considered for this role):
- Write and maintain productionlevel code
- Developing and testing solutions to complex problems in Typescript and ReactJS
- Using endtoend testing frameworks such as: Cypress Selenium and Playwright
- Leveraging APIs and data sources to build interactive and engaging applications
- Git & GitHub CI/CD toolchains and containers
- An eye for detail and good design
Grow together with Vaarst you may have skills in the following if not you will learn and develop your skillsin:
- Expertise in design and UX
- Design systems and tools such as Figma
- Redux and web bundlers such as Webpack
- Python using Django or Flask
- Working with 3D datasets and rendering
- Machine learning and artificial intelligence
- Experience working with Linux/Ubuntu
