Information Security Tester

Role Overview:

• Conduct security assessments to test the effectiveness of controls and operations.
• Lead control testing teams or collaborate within the team for design and operating effectiveness testing.
• Perform planning kickoff fieldwork testing through reporting activities.
• Provide peer review for control testing documentation and ensure the quality of work for accuracy and timely completion.
• Identify and document control deficiencies including root causes risk descriptions issue ratings and recommendations for improvement.
• Assist with analyzing data for evidence of deficiencies or noncompliance with laws regulations and management policies.
• Prepare reports of findings and recommendations for management and testing stakeholders.

• Security Controls Testing expertise.

Top Skills:

• Fouryear college degree in a related field.
• 58 years of experience preferred; 35 years of experience required.

Additional Information:

• 100% Remote position with no specific time zone requirements (Prefer CST but flexible).
• Falls under the GRC section of Information Security emphasizing adherence to policies guidelines and standards.
• Role involves assessing owners compliance determining policies to be checked evaluating processes and requesting proof from owners.
• Conduct root cause analysis and document issues providing recommendations for improvement.
• Responsibilities include planning assessments creating assessment questions participating in meetings providing evidence analyzing logs and report writing.
• Ideal candidate has a Cyber Security background and experience in assessments as multiple assessments may be ongoing simultaneously.
