Job Description

About the role • Applies technical expertise in collaboration with teams across the airport to ensure optimal performance of assets in facilities across the airport under the auspices of MATAR FM. • Plan, schedule, delegate and supervise the preventive / corrective maintenance programs for all assets are implemented in accordance with statutory requirements, Standards and Recommended Practices (SARP’s) and in compliance to company policy (SOP) to ensure timely completion with optimized manpower and resources. • Manage contractors as per established agreement to implement preventive maintenance regimes in the airport facilities in order to reduce downtime and increases performance of the assets in accordance to MATAR standards. • Monitor contractor’s performance through reviewing of quality audits, resource utilization data, preventive maintenance plans, procedures, checklists and asset lists for asset performance improvement to ensure all tasks are attended to in a timely manner and within the stipulated KPIs. • Continuously improve contractor’s productivity through optimization of resources available to ensure Operational efficiency. • Develop and drive asset optimization programs in collaboration with other FM teams by evaluating asset performance in order to optimize maintenance costs whilst ensuring asset performance. • Perform site investigations and provide technical solutions to engineering issues or concerns in order to resolve/mitigate the problem and ensure optimum operation effectiveness and reliability of assets. • Prepare, review and work closely with management to identify and manage departmental risks to mitigate potential impact on airport operation. • Support ongoing and future expansion projects with technical knowledge, share knowledge of existing systems and review impact to existing infrastructure to ensure implementation of lessons learned in order to facilitate better maintenance aspects into these projects/programs. • Provide technical input and feedback to project design reviews, and through this to ensure that system specification, material choice and installation design is commensurate with experienced lessons learned and from effective maintenance perspective. • Co-ordinate and attend site inspections, testing & commissioning (T&C), project handover and snag/defect rectification process to ensure that all projects are delivered according to MATAR expectations. Support project team in preparation of project charters through feasibility study and requirement collection to ensure all technical requirements for the projects are incorporated in project plan. • Review and supervise all works undertaken by contractors to ensure all health, safety, environmental standards are met to reduce risk of accidents, incidents and environmental damage. • Managing occupational health and safety through reviewing contractors’ OH&S plans to ensure compliance to Airport Regulations. • Perform other department duties related to his/her position as directed by the Head of the Department. Qualifications About you: • High School Qualification/ Vocational Qualification /Diploma or Equivalent with Minimum 4 years of job-related experience. • Bachelor's Degree or Equivalent with Minimum 3 years of job-related experience. • Previous works experience in complex and demanding environment. • Should have good exposure and working knowledge in facilities management of Lounges, Hotels and Retails preferably with airport background. • Experience engaging with multiple stakeholder at any given time
