UX Engineer II

Summary:

We are looking for someone who will develop high fidelity interactive prototypes of end to end experiences, build and test inventive UI solutions

Responsibilities:

• Collaborate closely with product, engineering, and UX design/research to help uncover product market fit, test viability of multiple solutions, improve usability and comprehension of our products for users in emerging markets
• Work with design and research team to validate designs with users through prototyping
• Work with Eng team to ensure fidelity of the final product is consistent with prototypes
• Help establish prototyping best practices and frameworks within the UX team to enable rapid iterations and learnings

Skills/ Education/ Experience:

• Bachelor's degree in Computer Science, HCI, Design, or equivalent practical experience.
• 3+ years of experience developing on Android or web frontend (HTML, CSS, Javascript), with ability to build both production-ready and throw-away code.
• Competency in prototyping frameworks such as Protopie and Figma, and knowledge of prototyping best practices.
• Interest and passion for inclusive design and solving the needs of people in emerging markets
• Experience collaborating effectively with cross-functional teams including UX, Product Management, Engineering, Operations, and/or Marketing stakeholders.
• Comfort with ambiguity, pivots, and experimentation with a drive to create clarity and structure
• Ability to manage time and tasks and collaborate effectively even with remote teammates
• Excellent communication and interpersonal skills
