Job Overview:
System Installers are responsible for installing relocating and disconnecting digital and og public
safety and commercial twoway communications equipment. Based out of Rockledge or Vero Beach
System Installers are directly responsible for building out the systems that let our communities public
safety education public works and business organizations effectively communicate and deliver services.
This is a critical role that requires team members to work onsite at customer locations and interact directly
with customers as well as with our project managers and project engineers. To succeed candidates will
need to be reliable customer service oriented total team players professional in appearance and good at
communicating (both in writing and verbally.)
System Installers will develop and refine the ss needed to install complex racks of electronic
equipment install backup power systems install and terminate all types of cables (coaxial DC power
Ethernet fiber optic grounding) install computer consoles and accessories program digital radio
equipment and install vehicular equipment.
Required Experience and Knowledge:
At least three years of experience installing digital RF infrastructure equipment (from one
of the following manufacturers: (L3 Harris Tait Kenwood Motorola EF Johson) including
grounding RF cabling network cabling and alarm cabling.
At least two years of work experience as a crew leader managing others.
At least two years of low voltage/structured cabling installation experience.
At least one year of experience installing mobile radios.
Demonstrated ability to read and understand drawings/blueprints/plans.
Working knowledge of and history using basic hand and power tools.
OSHA10 or OSHA30 cl completion.
Understanding of AC and DC power systems.
Work experience using a voltmeter ammeter clampon ground resistance meter.
Requirements
Clean criminal background and five years of a clean driving record.
Willingness to travel (up to 90%) sometimes out of market/out of state for up to two weeks
Must be in good physical condition with the ability to stoop crawl bend at the knees and waist
squat lift and move a minimum of 50 lbs. unisted and repeatedly climb and descend stairs and
Ability to complete written checklists and provide work progress reports.
High School Diploma or equivalent

Disemble automotive trim and reinstall without damage. Disemble automotive body panels, bumper covers etc. and reinstall without damage. Perform factory like installations of perimeter lighting, lightbars, siren controllers and speakers. Ability to read schematics, installation diagrams and instructions Perform quality installations of push bumpers, vehicle partitions, vehicle storage boxes, computer docking stations, and other police vehicle related equipment. Have a clear understanding of DC voltage and installation of 12-volt DC powered equipment such as lighting, siren controllers, speakers, relays, controllers, computer equipment and battery chargers. Have a clear understanding of DC electrical connections, and connectors, and proper routing and/or fabricating wire harnesses in a clean and professional manner. Have working knowledge of Radio Frequency (RF) test equipment including, watt meters, connector types and usage.

This position requires the ss and knowledge normally obtained through the successful completion of a high school degree, GED or equivalent
