Job Description:

• This position is for an Engineering Technician 1 who will perform work that is mechanical in nature to support R&D development and verification efforts.

• This is an entry level position where the individual works on projects/matters of limited complexity in a support role. Work is closely managed.

• Perform product/component testing and inspection of limited scope or degree of difficulty.

• Assists in the development, documentation, and validation of test methods.

• Interfaces with internal customers in support of performed work. Communicates

• information to help support engineering technicians and engineers for overall projects.

• Learns and complies with training, PWI's (procedure work instructions), SOP's (standard

• operating procedures), and best practices related to medical device development.

• Supports test equipment calibration and maintenance.

• Supports work related to process improvements in the lab.

• Supports work related to 6-Sigma and Lean initiatives in the lab.

• Collects data and performs data entry with integrity.

• Work on special projects as assigned.

Qualifications: -

• Must be at least 18 years of age.

• High School Diploma required.

• Minimum 1-3 years of relevant experience.

• Previous experience with medical devices preferred, but not required.

• This job operates in both a R&D testing lab and professional office environment. This job includes operating a variety of testing equipment and routinely uses standard office equipment.

• While performing the duties of this job, the employee may be required to sit or stand for long periods of time.

• Must be able to occasionally move and lift objects of up to 25 pounds.

• Typically requires travel less than 5% of the time.
