Position: Manager of Engineering
Location: Allentown PA
Compensation: Base salary of $150000 $160000 with a 20% bonus.
Overview:
This is a leadership role responsible for setting strategic direction and providing vision to the engineering team in a capital equipment manufacturing environment. The ideal candidate will have a strong background in the design and assembly of machinery or equipment particularly within process or production plants. As a key member of the Leadership Team you will be responsible for driving technical innovation efficiency and continuous improvement across the engineering function.
Key Responsibilities:
- Deliver strategic insights and leadership to support both the engineering function and overall business operations.
- Lead the engineering team in developing technical innovations in electrical mechanical and automation systems.
- Implement aggressive KPIs for quality performance delivery and cost ensuring all products meet these standards.
- Motivate and develop engineering talent through technical guidance and leadership with a focus on cultivating new leaders.
- Drive operating efficiencies across multiple manufacturing sites.
- Collaborate with marketing and operations to challenge existing practices push technological boundaries and explore new product capabilities.
- Foster a culture of innovation customer focus and actionorientation within the engineering team.
- Partner closely with Executive and Operations Leadership to align engineering initiatives with business goals.
- Promote continuous improvement identifying ways to enhance efficiency and speed.
Qualifications:
- Bachelor s degree in Engineering Manufacturing or Business; MS or MBA preferred.
- Minimum of 10 years in manufacturing or engineering management with at least 5 years in a leadership role ideally within the pharma life sciences or capital equipment industries.
Preferred Qualifications:
- Six Sigma Green Belt certification.
- Experience using 3D parametric CAD software particularly Autodesk Inventor and/or Routed Systems.
- Proficiency with Autodesk AutoCAD 2D/3D.
- Familiarity with ERP software (Syteline preferred).
- Knowledge of ASME / BPE Bioprocessing Equipment standards.
