Job Description:
Responsible for processing vendor invoices, reconciling general ledger accounts, recording payments to customers' accounts and maintains accounts receivable records by performing the following duties.
ESSENTIAL DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES:
Provide support on daily invoicing requirements, returns (RMA), and tariffs
Prepare and track supplier/vendor invoices for payment and wires.
Check and approve all vouchers for payment.
Print accounts payable reports and maintain all accounts payable files.
Enters finalized cash receipts and updates accounts receivable ledger by customer.
Answers accounts receivable/accounts payable phone inquiries and follows up.
Assists with related special projects and process improvements to existing processes, as required.
SPECIAL KNOWLEDGE, SKILLS AND ABILITIES:
Associates' degree (A. A.) or equivalent from a two-year college or technical school; or 1 to 2 year related experience and/or training; or equivalent combination of education and experience.
Ability to read and interpret documents such as accounting policies and practices and procedures manuals. Ability to write routine reports and correspondence. Ability to speak effective on the telephone to customers and employees.
Ability to calculate figures and amounts such as discounts, interest, commissions, proportions, percentages. Ability to apply basic concepts of accounting and finance.
Ability to solve problems and deal with a variety of concrete variables in situations where only limited standardization exists. Ability to interpret a variety of instructions furnished in writing, oral or schedule form.
