Job Summary:
Location: Upper Marlboro MD
Need a Controller with construction industry experience
Must have worked for a union organization
Oversee all accounting functions
Manage union and nonunion payrolls and bonus payouts
Ensure compliance with safety requirements
Prepare monthly financial statements
Review and submit quarterly tax returns
Initiate and renew state license registrations
Oversee General Ledger entries
Monitor accounts receivable
Manage vendor payments
Coordinate monthly close process
Facilitate completion of audits
Oversee training and performance of direct reports
Manage payroll processing and reports
Facilitate creation of forecasts and report to management
Perform additional duties as igned
Requirements:
3 years of relevant financial experience including supervisory roles
College diploma or bachelors degree in a related field
Background in construction or projectbased accounting
Advanced proficiency with Excel and Sage
CPA certification preferred but not required with construction industry experience.
