Overview:
United Feed Co. is a leading company in the agricultural industry providing highquality feed products to farmers and ranchers across the country. We are currently seeking a highly skilled and experienced Chief Accountant to join our team and oversee all financial operations within the company.
Responsibilities:
Manage and oversee all accounting functions including accounts payable accounts receivable general ledger and financial reporting
Develop and implement financial policies procedures and controls to ensure accuracy and compliance
Monitor and analyze financial data to identify variances and recommend solutions for improvement
Prepare and present financial statements and reports to senior management and stakeholders
Coordinate and lead the annual budgeting process
Collaborate with external auditors and tax advisors to ensure timely and accurate completion of audits and tax filings
Mentor and supervise accounting staff providing guidance and training as needed
Keep uptodate with industry trends regulations and best practices to ensure compliance and inform decisionmaking
Requirements:
Bachelors degree in accounting Finance or related field; CPA designation preferred
Minimum of 5 years of experience in a senior accounting role preferably in the agricultural industry
Strong knowledge of accounting principles and regulations including GAAP
Proficient in accounting software and MS Office Suite with advanced Excel skills
Excellent analytical problemsolving and communication skills
Strong leadership and team management abilities
High level of attention to detail and accuracy
Ability to work independently and handle multiple tasks in a fastpaced environment
