Finance Manager Qatar

Job description

NES is looking for a Finance Manager for its Shipping Marine client based in Qatar. The role is reporting into the Chief Financial Officer.

You will be managing all financial activities related to the firm to ensure informative, timely and accurate management reports in compliance with applicable laws, rules and regulations.

Key Accountabilities:

1. Develop the company financial policies and procedures and oversee their proper implementation to support the financial practises and achieve the planned objectives.

2. Oversee all applicable financial controls and ensure adequate assessment and mitigation of risk as well as compliance with applicable regulatory and other legal requirements.

3. Plan, develop and lead an efficient and robust Finance function to support the firms strategic planning initiatives, operations and activities.

4. Must have prior experience in financial governance and process management within structured organization's, particularly in service provider contexts

5. Oversee all applicable financial controls and ensure adequate assessment and mitigation of risk as well as compliance with applicable regulatory and other legal requirements.

Qualifications
• Bachelors degree in Accounting and Finance
• 12 to 15 years of related experience of which a minimum of 5 years should be in a similar role / responsibility
• Looking for someone with a background in both government and private sectors
• Preference will be given to candidates coming from a Maritime background
