About the Company

San Diego based company, whose mission is to lower the cost of electrical vehicle (EV) ownership while supporting the integration of renewable energy sources, such as wind and solar. Our Grid Integrated Vehicle Platform GIVe™ transforms EVs into grid assets when charging while guaranteeing the expected level of charge when the vehicle owner needs it. The aggregation of thousands of electric vehicles into a virtual power plant using the GIVe platform, allows Nuvve to participate in electricity markets with a power capacity comparable to traditional generators. Based on Vehicle To Grid technology or v2g the GIVe platform gives benefits to public organizations, businesses and homes by reducing the cost of electric infrastructure and reducing CO2 emissions.

About the Role
Seeking a General Manager to lead our school bus business unit. This candidate will lead and grow a team of Sales Managers focusing on school districts providing them high quality Mega Watts (MW) under management to our organization. The General Manager will report to the CEO as part of our leadership team responsible for this business unit.

This is a full-time position opportunity. The anticipated annual base salary range for this position is $175,000 - $225,000. The salary offer will depend on multiple factors which may include the applicant's knowledge, skills, abilities and other qualifications, as well as the location of the role. This position is eligible for a performance bonus in addition to base pay. Bonuses are designed to reward individual contributions as well as allow employees to share in company results. Job Duties and Responsibilities

  • Establish the strategic growth vision of the business unit; building and implementing a strategic plan to achieve Company s revenue goals
  • Responsible for the P&L and overall financial performance of the business unit
  • Manage business units new initiatives, budget, expenses and resource allocation
  • Track, review and communicate to the executive team progress on revenue achievement and status updates on future revenue potential
  • Play a key role in the development of the overall market and product strategy roadmap
  • Identify, cultivate and manage go-to- market efforts: create terms sheets, define program requirements, negotiate agreements, manage ongoing communication and legal stakeholder buy in and acceptance
  • Secure executed contracts with school bus districts leading and championing contract negotiations with clients and applicable internal and external stakeholders
  • Drive and have a plan to ensure customer retention
  • Identify industry trends and communicate them regularly to the sales and leadership team
  • Routinely collect and compile intelligence regarding market and competition
  • Maintain knowledge of the electric bus market including the competitive landscape, key buying factors and market trends
  • Hire, coach, develop, and inspire a team of Sales Managers to ensure each is contributing at their highest level, meeting/exceeding their sales objectives
  • Ensure Sales Team has the support and resources needed to close deals and negotiate terms of sale, service agreements, and prices
  • Negotiate prices and terms to support Sales team in the preparation of quotes, contracts, and purchase orders

Qualifications

  • Leadership experience in developing and executing a growth strategy, and demonstrate experience in delivering revenue growth for a business unit
  • 5+ years of relevant sales leadership experience within the school bus market
  • Proven ability to influence cross functional teams
  • Strong leadership and team building skills
  • Knowledge and/or experience in EV fleet/transportation/charging stations
